About this blog

Are you interested in sound design and/or Thundercats? Great! Bear with me. I have a plan.

I’ve been working on the new Thundercats series on Cartoon Network. Giving the show a distinct sound while maintaining the feel of the original series has been a fun challenge. Along the way, I’ve managed to compile a pretty large library of custom sounds and we’re only 7 episodes in. I want to share some of these custom sounds with you, as well as the ways in which I arrived at them. If you’re reading this post, it means you’re probably want to learn about these kinds of things (or at least a die hard fan of the show). I’m hoping you’re not the only one.

‘Thundercats Ho!’ (AKA The plan):

Over the course of the first season of the show, I plan to blog about at least 1 specific sound challenge for each episode, and include clean, downloadable embeds of some of the custom sounds I have created. This should be a fun experiment and I really look forward to getting a discussion going and sharing my work with you.

As always, thanks for listening for what sounds like Jeff.
